Armagnac has been produced since the 18th century (southwestern France), Bas-Armagnac is the region with the best reputation for its terroir.
Maison Castarède is the oldest House of Armagnac and was founded in 1832 by the Castarède family.
Established in the region for 6 generations (Lavardac first, then Mauléon-d’Armagnac in the Bas-Armagnac later), the Castarède house has been cultivating since 1832, 16 hectares of vines including 3 white grape varieties: Ugni-Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard.
With an ageing period double the legal minimum, two multi-century old cellars with remarkable isothermal conditions and a confidential and artisanal production passed down from generation to generation, Castarède is one of the most prestigious houses in the appellation.
We offer a wide range of quality vintages and blends.
